The forthcoming upgrades will be applied to both the physical and digital versions of the shooter, but Bethesda warned that if you own a boxed copy of Doom Eternal and are upgrading to a digital-only next-gen machine, you won't be able to upgrade the game. In a blog post, publisher Bethesda said that it doesn't have a time frame for these enhanced versions of the FPS as of yet, but promised that it will be one of the first of its games to receive an upgrade. The upgraded version of id Sofware's bloody shooter Doom Eternal won't be available for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S as the new consoles launch.
